Plan País, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that provides the Venezuelan youth abroad with a platform for the exchange of ideas, talent and knowledge, will hold its first international conference on November 15 – 16 at The Paris Institute of Political Studies (“Sciences Po”) in Paris, France. Plan País is co-organizing the conference with Venezuela 2030, an academic initiative created at Sciences Po which seeks to contribute to the articulation of a network of international experts to analyze development opportunities in Venezuela.
The conference will feature a Strategic Corporate Insight session on November 15th between 18:00 - 20:00 h aimed at corporate professionals and organizations interested in gaining a better understanding of potential investment opportunities and challenges in Venezuela within the framework of the country's reconstruction. The panel session will be conducted according to the Chatham House Rule and will gather thought leaders in the Venezuelan energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as renowned strategy consulting firms, political risk analysis firms, and development agencies that closely follow developments in Venezuela.
After providing attendees with an overview of the current economic situation in Venezuela, the panel will analyze the opportunities and challenges involved in the implementation of a new development model for Venezuela. The panelists will analyze the necessity of revamping the oil & gas sectors, as well as other key industries, and will consider sustainable and responsible strategies for leveraging the country’s vast natural resources. As part of the discussion, the panel of experts will consider several scenarios in order to evaluate potential political, security, and territorial risks.
The Strategic Corporate Insight Session provides participants with a unique opportunity to meet renowned experts from the energy sector, policymakers tasked with economic development, political and economic risk analysts, businessmen, and entrepreneurs. As such, the event will feature a networking event for participants to interact with each other, the panelists, as well as with Latin American and European students from Sciences Po and other European universities.

Plan País, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides the Venezuelan youth abroad with a platform for the exchange of ideas, talent and knowledge. The organization was founded in 2010 at Yale University by three Venezuelan students who recognized the need for academic spaces in which Venezuelan students in the United States could debate the most pressing challenges facing Venezuela in order to contribute to the creation of a long-term vision for the country. Plan País has organized nine national conferences across the United States that have collectively gathered more than 1,500 Venezuelan students and professionals, as well as nearly 100 experts in fields that span economic, social, and institutional dimensions.
